The beginning:
Being votet one of the best 50 international DJs in 2003 DJ Aroma started spinning records as a resident DJ back in 1994 at Munichs famous Ultraschall club. At the same she started to run her own radio show for munichs Jazzwelle radio station with a weekly two hours slot featuring all the famous Techno and House Artists who came to town, such as Tony Humphries or Air Liquide.

From Munich to Berlin
In 1997 she moved to berlin and quit the radio, even though it was internationally airing then on e.g. italia network radio (short version) or cologne based evosonic. Berlin was quite an experience back then and so DJ Aroma took the residencies she was offered like Panorama bar/ Ostgut and played a large number of international gigs.
She also decided to start a live Pa, which turned her into an audio nerd but when it hit the stage in 1999 it was not recognised as one of these „singing girl in front of a drummachine acts“ but a solid live Pa whith a high quality of sound that could fully rock large stages of Festivals like Fusion Festival where she was invited to play 5 times. Of course the number of productions under her producer name Discopunk increased, still being a rocking DJ behind the international club decks every weekend.

Aromamusic
2002 DJ Aroma founded Aromamusic, a Berlin-based label which is promoting their own tasty style, not quite House, not really Techno , some minimal influences but even downtempo at times. To give a better description for all these flavours in music the term „electronic wildstyle“ was used for all releases ever since. 2007 Aromamusic is quite popular for their specific interpretation of electronic music, after havng released their 20th release ( including three CD compilations, Vinyls and Mp3s).

Media and Producing
As an author, she had regular contributions to technical Magazines like German based Keys or Keyboards, but she also ran her own column on „creative Djing“ for the German DJ Magazin. As a producer Aroma has been releasing regularly dating back to her first release in 1994, which was remix. Ever since she has made quite a number of them, mostly using the name of her live project Discopunk and DJ Aroma for DJ Compilations and related. Some of them were quite celebrated like the remix she did for „Infatuation“ a track which was originally published on aromamusic, later sold as a licence and rereleased again quite big so that it ended up being in the playlists of such well known celebtrity DJs like Eric Prydz. In 2007 she will finally release her long awaited album „skyline“ which is a back to the roots wildstyle album refering to her musical past as a teen and twen of Punk, Disco, Acid Jazz and old school Hip Hop mixing it with contemporary beats and soundscapes.

Tor Lowkrantz aka Mighty Thor has long experimented with variations of his techno sound. His sound was always very live, originated from a non-computer driven setup, Tor’s drum programming would later go on to be integral to the success of Grammy award winning deep electro trio Hundarna Fran Soder.

His stage debut came in the dying days of the 90s. The sound was bubbly and intense. After that he has played fine venues as well as the shady underground clubs, both dj and live.

Leaving Stockholm for a stint as a radio producer Tor grew an even deeper fascination in the principles of sound and electronics. A burgeoning interest in electronic soldering and dub music has since broadened his musical pallette to include echo tape decks and DIY-synths. Tor’s musicianship has every song evolve very much from the ground up. In a sense his creative process begins at circuit level before charging through your speakers.

Sol's maininstrument is her voice and she has studied classical singing but wasn't really happy doing that. Her interest in the recording & mixing process made her study electro/acoustic composition at EAM.

In 2003 she started improvising song/lyrics on beats, mixed by Anaya and Gavana, and they played toghether in clubs and festivals as Ana International Penetrator.

Just recently she got involved with Stina Berge & kärleken, where she do backup vocals. During the last year Sol and magOwl are working on a project called Sowl, go check that out!

Jungle

Jungle is producing works in the fields of art and design, and he spend his daytime studying at the university of art in Stockholm, Konstfack.

Jungle started painting on walls back in the days of 1998, but wrote his first tags 1993. Today he works with visuals/VJ-ing/live edited video projections, film shoot (Mini-DV) and editing. Design logos, flyers, posters and websites. Illustration, painting canvases and of course big lovely walls.

The last years he have been painting some big productions on walls and a lot in my studio. He has also been a resident live- visual artist at Svaj klubb 2006/2007.
